• Account and profile details: username, password (hashed), profile photo, bio, professional credentials (for advisors), licensing details, insurance information, and other data you enter into profiles or forms.
• Financial preferences and objectives you voluntarily provide (e.g., risk tolerance, investment goals).
• Communications content: messages, inquiries, meeting requests, and any documents you upload.

b. Technical and Usage Data (automatically collected)

• Device and connection: IP address, device identifiers, browser and operating system, language, screen resolution.
• Usage: pages visited, time and date stamps, clicks, navigation paths, referral source, and interaction data.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

c. Third‑party and Public Sources

• Data from third‑party services you connect (e.g., calendar, CRM integrations) and public/open sources used as part of advisor screening (e.g., professional registries).

• Maintain security, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

• Advisors and service providers: personal data you submit to connect with advisors (contact details, profile information, and any documents you choose to share) will be shared with selected advisors necessary to facilitate contact.
• Service providers and processors: vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, email, analytics, payment processors) under contractual obligations to protect data.
• Legal and regulatory: when required by law, court order, or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities, to prevent fraud or imminent harm, or to enforce our agreements.

• Screening checks may include identity verification, regulatory register searches, professional references, and background checks. Screening does not guarantee future performance; advisors remain responsible for maintaining accurate credentials.

13. AML/KYC, Sanctions and Compliance Screening
    We may perform AML/KYC or sanctions screening on advisors and, where required by law, on users. Such checks are based on legal obligations and legitimate interests. Refusal to provide required information may prevent use of certain Services.

14. Payments, Fees and Financial Information
    If payment functionality is enabled, payment details are processed by third‑party payment processors; we do not store full payment card data unless explicitly stated and secured. Fee arrangements between users and advisors are between those parties; we may receive referral or service fees and will disclose material arrangements where required.

15. Third‑Party Services and Links
    The Services may contain links to third‑party websites and integrations. We are not responsible for third‑party privacy practices. Review the privacy policies of any third‑party services you use.

16. Marketing and Communications
    We may send you promotional emails and messages where permitted by law. You can opt out via unsubscribe links or by contacting privacy@findtrustedadvisors.com. Transactional and service communications necessary to provide the Services are not subject to opt‑out.

    Users outside the platform’s Home Jurisdiction consent to transfer of their personal data to countries where we or our processors operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and provide additional safeguards in data transfer addenda.

22. Retention Schedule (examples)

• Account and profile data: retained while account is active + 7 years for legal/compliance reasons.
• Transaction and payment records: retained for 7 years or as required by law.

23. Employee and Advisor Data
    We process data of advisors and employees for recruitment, contract performance, payroll, and compliance. Such processing follows the same principles and legal bases set out above.
